BORED

I am bored out of my mind...sitting at gate T at the Winnipeg waiting for my trip home to Calgary...By the time i get on the plane...I wil have been in Winnipeg for 4 hours doing nothing...
Although I did get raped at the security check..haha

They decided to do a random swab of my laptop...and the guy said he got a hit for explosive chemicals...So i was pulled off to the side while my other carry ons were checked...asked questions...and got a full 3-4 minute pat down body search... by the end of it..I told them I was a pharmacy student...and they said it was fine cuz it was probably drugs from the lab....great...better not happen when i go back..

Ill be home is ~3 hours!! So dang excited...

HOME TOMMOROW!!!

IT"S OVer!!! First Semester of Pharmacy school..

THis last month went by pretty slow...but all in all...the entire semester flew by...Seems like it was just yesterday that I came down from Calgary all sad about leaving home..

It's been good...grades are good.. All A's in 6 classes...and 1 stupid B in practice and law...but im happy...Never done so good in school.....Guess i should have tried in undergrad..

Plane leaves at 615 am tommorow and Ill be back around 5 pm in the afternoon...Cannot wait to see everyone...specially Granny cuz she's recovering from surgery...Ill spend lots of time with her this christmas...Can't wait to do a lot of the stufff ive been missing too...Drinking, Poker, Hockey, Virtual Golf...wooot!!! So excited

Anyways...going on a farewell brunch with some friends....PEACE!!

Almost home time!

9 Days till I get to come home...Yes Ive been counting down...Me and the roomate have a countdown calender outside our door..haha I can't wait...
Its finals time now...5 in 5 days next week...so the weekend and the next week is not gonna be fun at all..but hopefully I'll get thru it.

Granny's sick...she had an operation for cancer..and they found that it spread up to the intestines....so i guess it's not looking good...Hopefully she recovers quick from the surgery so that we can start chemo on the intestinal cancer..

Im supposed to be studying for Biochem quiz tommorow, but I don't feel like it...We've got a floor meeting in 20 minutes...and the Flames vs Penguins game is on TV....so i think I might "study" in the lounge with the Tv..

ANyways...Can't wait to come home...eat Pho, Sushi, Meat, and play Hockey and virtual Golf and drink real Beer.

Well it's thanksgiving break down here in the states... my first ever american thanksgiving and it sucks without friends and family back home.. but that's alright. Weve got 9 days off school cuz of it...so that's nice but most of the people have gone home for the break, so that just leaves a few of us on campus. The week's flown by pretty fast.. Haven't done anything much cept watch tv, eat, watch a korean drama called Full House...haha (girl is extremely cute)....and sleep..

We went bowling a few nights ago, and I owned the rest of the group..hahah

Today was an experience... Yesterday we went over to a friend's apartment for a nice thanksgiving meal....after that, we had planned to drive up to Jeffersonsville, Ohio to hit the prime outlets for black friday shopping..

So we rented a car thusrday afternoon, and I tried to get as much sleep as I could on thursday...and at 10pm..we left Charleston and headed up to Jefferson...yea...10 PM...After a caffeinated Coffee drink, we got there at around 1230 AM....and started shopping...Never in my life have I experience lines and wait times like this....It's 10x worse than boxing day shopping...and this was at MIDNIGHT!!....Ridiculous...So I bought some stuff...and we shopped until 630 AM....yes...you read right...hahah...then we drove back to Charleston and got back around 930 Am....Yea..I had to do all the driving...so I was exhausted...

I just woke up from my sleep...and it's only 230 pm....hopefully that's enough to get me through the rest of the day....

Back to School - Great Fall break

We went camping at Holly River in Hacker Valley, WV over the long weekend cuz of fall break. Tons of fun, we went on a nice 4 hour hike, had some great meals, lots of booze, and played some taboo..good times... I posted some pics up on facebook. Guess it's back to reality now...another week of school...atleast there's no exams this week..but i do have my journal club on friday (basically it's a 15 minute presentation on a journal article infront of 2 other students and the professor)...work 20% of my grade for a class...so not too excited about that.

West Virginia ain't too bad so far...ive met lots of people...volunteering at the American red cross blood donor center for part of my experiential learning course.. so i get to talk to a lot of locals and all that...which is neat...more asians than i thought there would be...ANyways...Dinner time..

Woot...24 years old today...one moer year till car insurance drops...

I think today is one of the more uneventful birthdays of my life...I just took a mini nap between studying for Pharmaceutics and now studying for Biochem...3 more exams this week...then we get a 4 day long weekend...so that's what i can look forward to.

The week's been long and tiring...4 tough exams to get through...i think i did okay..

we played flag football on friday which was a lot of fun...First year students against Second year...and we demolished them 63-0. THat's probably because we have a former QB on our team who refused a scholarship to go play for the Rutgers. Pretty cool

2 more MOnths till Home time for Christmas...Can't wait!!!

Here we go...Round 2

Round 2 of exams is fast approaching...7 exams in the next 10 or so days...not gonna be fun...

Studying is getting boring already...so 4 years is gonna be real tough...not much has changed down here yet...haven't been doing too much...started going to the gym finally...so hopefully that'll balance out the greasy crap ive been eating in the cafeteria.

I'll be going camping with the asian crew..haha during our fall break in the third week of October...It'll be interesting to see how West virginia camping compares with good old back home K-country and banff...

I wanna come home during the US Thanksgiving ...cuz we get a total of 9 days off including weekends...but it's too expensive...i might rent a car and drive around....wanna check out pittsburgh which is 3 hours away....that'd be fun...cept Penguins tickets are fricking expensive and basically all sold out for that time..

Godwin's getting married on saturday....it'll be weird going home and seeing him and Marie married...haha he said nothign will change...so that should be interesting...I told them to webcam the wedding for me...so i can watch it live..lol...doubt that'll work

Anyways...watching Hockey online...can't believe it's finally started!! YAH!!! cept no one else likes hockey down here...it's all college football...

First Round is Over

Well...the first round of tests are over....Started out really strong...and ended off Really poorly.
3 A's to start off the hardest 3 courses....followed by a poor B and a C in the easiest class.. I think everyone did pretty bad on the last two though...so hopefully there's gonna be some scaling.
I just finished watching heroes on nbc.com since I was studying last night....watched Prison break too...finally the Tv season is back....although that's probably not gonna be good for the grades.

This week should be nice and relaxing...for the rest of the day I'm going to do nothing cept sleep and relax. Have a fantasy hockey draft later tonight...so that should be fun.

Still haven't found a church down here yet...although to be honest, Haven't really even looked. There's some people on the floor that go to one on sundays...so i'll ask about that and maybe join them this weekend. Ive been listening to some online sermons through First Alliance or Foothills Alliance to try and substitute...but it's not the same..

Anyways...off to take a nap...

Greetings from the States

I was always told that I should start a blog and write about stuff that's happening in my life. I think Godwin kept telling me to write one after my Arab Taxi driver Shower experience in Phoenix a couple years ago.. haha..

The reason I'm starting one?... I'm bored...Im studied out for today...

It's been a good week so far....I think this is the first time in all of my University years that I've been a straight A student...haha considering it's only been 3 exams...but it does include 2 of the hard courses (Immunology and Biochem)...but I'm happy.

Ive got exams coming up monday and tuesday, but then after that, we've got a week or two off before the next round.

So how's the states so far?...Different...the people here are friendly and really nice...but it's weird not seeing asian people everywhere like back home. I'm still trying to get adjusted...but i think it's going well so far.. Finally had a chance to party yesterday night after the biochem exam...I had a lot..but i know my limits. it was still a fun night though...Some crazy stuff happens when people drink too much though...nuff said

I think that's good enough for a first post...We'll see how often I update this...
